The Pajama Game @ Richmond Hill Centre For The Performing Arts
by Clifton Li on Nov.28, 2009, under Quick Preview
I was very lucky to be invited by Steppin’ Out Theatrical Productions to document the backstage action in “The Pajama Game”.
“The Pajama Game is a musical based on the novel 7-1/2 Cents by Richard Bissell. It features a score by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross. The story deals with labor troubles in a pajama factory, where worker demands for a seven-and-a-half cents raise are going unheeded. In the midst of this ordeal, love blossoms between Babe, the grievance committee head, and Sid, the new factory superintendent.”
If you look closely, you probably noticed that most of the actors are probably yonger than me. Obviously, I am not that old. But surely they are extremely professional and super talented. I believe they didn’t even make any mistake during the show, although this will be up to the kids to find out.
Once Again, thank you to Brian Lee, the director of this production company for allowing me to go behind the stage.
